The Ginger House in Los Altos de Cerro Azul

Ginger House is a quaint guest house surrounded by the Chagres National Park, in the pleasantly cool mountain community of Los Altos de Cerro Azul near Panama City, Panama.

From one of the many lounge area’s of the house, you can watch local wildlife such as monkeys, sloth’s and toucans play and forage during the day and at night, watch the sparkling lights of the distant city while listening to the sounds of the jungle.

The property features an abundance of wild gingers, a variety of fruit trees – oranges, limes, bananas, a vegetable garden, many bougainvillea and other tropical foliage which is a big draw for the hummingbirds.

I welcome you to Ginger House with open arms.

I am Picasso, the owner-operator of what I hope you will agree is a lovely guesthouse in the mountains of Panama. My co-operators Sailor and Panama Jack, Maine Coon cats, are more like silent partners but do keep a eye on the daily operations.

Many types of wild ginger surround the house and give the air a heavenly aroma. Equally heavenly are the views of the protected wildlife and flora of the Chagres National Park which nestles our community.

My goal is to promote wellness for my clients and for the nature around us. I will be happy to share with you my knowledge of Panama and the adventures I have had here. If you have an open mind and are looking for adventure, you may find it here too.

What other are saying about Ginger House…

“Picasso hosted a wonderful New Year’s Day brunch at Ginger house. The food and drink was awesome and plentiful, and each of the two dozen or so guests gratefully enjoyed the meal, camaraderie and warmth of the early afternoon within the beauty of the well-manicured grounds at Gingerhouse. Hats off to Picasso for creating this splendid environment for us all to share!” Jim Cornell & Sharon Osgood

“We Would like to say that our time there was Wonderful, the food was definitely gourmet quality and the home was extremely comfortable and the hostess was beyond belief. It was one of the most enjoyable long weekends we have spent this side of Palm Springs, London or Rome, and might even surpass some of them!” Al Russ
